Clubs and Nightlife in Florence
Visitors to Florence will find the town is a haven of fun at night. Most hotels have great bars, but there are also many places throuhgout the city where you can have a great time.
Italians and foreigners alike flood the streets, keeping the bars open until 2 or 3 am. There are many different types of places, and you are sure to find a bar, restaurant, or club that fits you perfectly.

Casa del Vino (Via del Ariento 16r; tel. 055 215 609; www.casadelvino.it) Old wine bar off the Mercato Centrale that has been preserved, yet still retains its ancient charm.
Chalet Fontana (Viale Michelangelo) Tranquil atmosphere for a drink. Prices on the higher side.
Dolce Vita (Piazza del Carmine; tel. 055 284 595; www.dolcevitaflorence.com) Fashionable bar housing art exhibitions. It has outdoor seating that is popular with students.

Le Volpi and L' Uve (Piazza de'Rossi 1; tel. 055 239 8132; www.levolpieluva.com) Excellent Tuscan wine and side dishes like salami and cheese. Lovely terrace with a great view.
Negroni (Via dei Renai 17r; tel. 055 243 647; www.negronibar.it) A celebrated bar, Negroni´s drinks have been famous since the 1920´s.
Noir (Lungarno Corsini 12-14r; tel. 055 210 751) Wonderful ambience and great view from any of its outdoor tables.
Rex (Santa Croce district) Side dishes and cocktails with great music.
Rifrullo (Via Dei Bardi 18; tel. 055 8411123) Popular with a young crowd. Prices are on the higher side.
Tiratoio (Piazza de Nerli ) Video jukeboxes, dishes, and drinks.
Central Park (Via del Fosso Macinante 2 in Parco delle Cascine; tel. 055 359 942/ 35 35 05; closed 6am) Indoor and outdoor dance floors. Dresscode is not very strict, but casual wear will not be permitted. Wednesday is a hiphop night with generally only one floor open. Thursdays and Saturdays are for house, hip hop, and commercial Latin music. Transport tends to be difficult if you cannot get a car.
Meccano (Viale degli Olmi 1; tel. 055 331371) Four indoor and outdoor dancefloors make it an enormous dancing spot. Theme nights are common.
Montecarla (Via de' Bardi 2; tel. 055 234 0259) Unique and lively decor, including leapord-print walls.

Space Electronic (Via Palazzuolo 37) Dance floor and bar crowded by young foreign people.
Tabasco Disco Gay (Piazza di Santa Cecilia 3; www.tobascogay.it) Gay disco housed in catacombs dating back to the Middle Ages.

There are some live preformances from 10.30 till midnight. Service by buses 29 and 30. There is live music on Tuesday, college night on Thursday. Dancing starts at midnight and goes until 3am.
